BROTHERS II

A brother is one who takes your side
When your confidence is low,

You can count on him to help you out
However low your spirits may go,

Many a thing, because of him,
Is accomplished when the chips are down,

Shared memories persist forever,
Of that small, rural town

Where you grew up nurtured by
Parents, unsophisticated, but loving,

You owe a lot to this couple of souls
Who never hesitated in giving,

Both of you know in your heart of hearts
That their loss is a wound that won't heal,

May they rest in peace until the day
When church bells for you too will peal.
