The pendulum of life is swinging
High and sometimes low,

We both had seen the depths, but mended
Then we came to know

The times were getting better when
We met and saw the signs,

The curves were swinging upwards for us
Crossing paths and lines,

I had never found my way and
All the doors were locked,

You had known a brighter day, but
Found your sunshine blocked,

When first I kissed you, then I knew
I'd seen the end of gloom,

It makes no difference why you've entered,
Once you're in a room,

Arriving here is all that matters,
Not delays en route,

More than once around permitted
On this roundabout.
