Eight-beat, syncopated, rhythmic, rhyming verse,
Is my own personal style of writing -- what it's all about,

The last beat is sometimes silent, other times it swings
Into the line that follows it and that's what gives it clout,

It's really like a chant, (or music) when it starts to rock,
You mustn't miss a beat or stagger, keep it going strong,

You'll end on eight or number seven, resting from your trip...
Whether fast or slow is up to you and never wrong.
