My Uncle Ralph, watching cable one day,
Had his nervous system jangled and composure drained away,

When, thru his dining room window leapt
A full-grown deer, and across the place it swept,

His TV viewing came abruptly to an end
As it clattered thru the house and spied a window once again,

It exited the living room -- another big crash,
Left a need for homeowner's policy cash,

Nothing remained but a tiny trace of red,
Ralph, he had the carpenters in and went to bed,

Had it been a reindeer, then we might believe
That Santa Claus was near and had some mischief up his sleeve.
